Since 2023, the lecturers of the Department of Journalism of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University have launched joint events with related departments of Slovak universities. In the Slovak Republic, the project involves colleagues and students of the Department of Journalism and New Media (headed by Assistant Professor PhD Veronika Cillingová, Deputy Head of the Department of Journalism and New Media) of the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra (Slovak Republic) and Department of Artistic Communication (headed by Prof. PhD Zora Hudíková, Head of the Department of Artistic Communication) of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava (Slovak Republic).
Ukrainian universities are represented by teachers and students of the Department of Journalism (headed by Hanna Kholod, PhD, Deputy Head of the Department of Journalism) of the Institute of Psychology and Social Sciences of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (Kyiv, Ukraine) and the Department of Journalism (headed by Prof. Oleksandr Kholod, PhD, Head of the Department of Journalism) of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
International cooperation is carried out in the following areas: the formation of joint collective monographs, the implementation of various forms of academic mobility; the exchange of scientific and pedagogical experience, lectures for students and teachers, participation in joint projects for the implementation of European grants of the Visegrad Group “V4” (2025–2028).
Between March 18 and April 30, 2024, lecturers from departments participating in the project delivered 12 lectures to journalism students studying at four universities in the two countries.\
In 2024, the monograph Journalism: Ukrainian and Slovak Experience was published.
